Sethi Lawn is a compact front lawn landscape project located in the residential neighborhood of G-7/4, Islamabad. The design was envisioned as a low-maintenance, evergreen garden that could serve as an inviting space for communal gathering and family interaction— functioning as both a visual retreat and an everyday extension of the home.
Given the site's long and narrow proportions, one of the main design challenges was to introduce meaningful spatial experiences without disrupting visual continuity. The layout was therefore conceived to remain as open as possible, with strategically placed elements that guide circulation while preserving end-to-end sightlines.
A restrained material palette helps define the character of the space. Concrete pavers form the main circulation path, flanked by custom concrete seating and stone sculptures that anchor key moments in the layout. A metal-and-seasoned-wood gazebo provides shade and an informal gathering spot, subtly framed by curated green pockets along the perimeter.
Evergreen plantation was prioritized to ensure year-round vibrancy with minimal upkeep. Plant selection focused on hardy, low-maintenance species suited to the local climate, reinforcing the client's brief while allowing the garden to remain lush without becoming laborintensive.
The project has been both conceptually completed and fully executed, transforming a formerly underutilized front lawn into a lively and functional outdoor space—one that supports everyday family life while maintaining a sense of calm, openness, and order.
